jumps conclusion palin bashing article read article fair comparison

Palin's and Hitler's Upbringing

Palin was one of four children raised by strict authoritarian Parents. Her father was a school teacher and her mother a school secretary. She lived a a fairly poor life in a small frame home with only a wood stove for heat and food was often what ever nature provided. She found solace in sports and enjoyed guns and hunting.

Hitler was one of four children (with two step siblings) raised by strict authoritarian parents. His father was a civil servant and his mother was possibly a house keeper. They lived a fairly poor life and Hitler was intrigued by war and said he played cowboys and Indians as a child.

Palin and Hitlers young adult years

Sarah Palin was baptized Catholic and her grandfather was a staunch Catholic. She rejected the Catholic faith and became a non-denominational Christian.

Hitler was baptized a Catholic and later rejected the catholic religion and dallied in Christianity.

Palin attended at least 5 minor colleges and did not excel in any subject finally graduating with a BS in journalism.

Hitler attended and was removed from two art schools always fancying himself an artist.

Palin and Hitler introduction to politics

Palin did a short stint in TV journalism and liking the attention she chose to run for a political office. Palin started her political career as a small town City councilman and then mayor. She was known for her inciting voters and stirring up anger against issues and her opponents.

Hitler served in the military and was decorated for bravery. Enjoying the success he was appointed a police spy. He advanced through the ranks of the Nationalist socialist workers party by making rowdy speeches inciting people to join.

Palin had big aspirations but was defeated in her run for Lt. Governor. She was appointed to work on big oil contracts for Alaska where she developed connections and backing for her run for Governor of Alaska.

Hitler worked the business men for backing of his political ideas and was invited into the circles of Munich society where he received financial backing.

Comparing Palin's and Hitler's Philosophy

All
the following were present from the 1920s:

1. Long-term bitterness

Deep anger about the First World War and the Treaty of Versailles
created an underlying bitterness to which Hitler’s
viciousness and expansionism appealed, so they gave him
support.

Present:
Americans have a deep anger over the economic collapse and distrust of
the government and Wall Street that Palin has used and fed to gain
support.

2. Ineffective Constitution

Weaknesses in the Constitution crippled the government.
In fact, there were many people in Germany who wanted
a return to dictatorship. When the crisis came in 1929–1933 – there was no
one who was prepared or able to fight to stop Hitler.

Present: Palin has said our constitution is not being followed and her Tea Party supporters have said they want a return to the old days of limited government and would undo and reform amendments of the constitution that were designed to protect civil rights.

3. Money

The financial support of wealthy businessmen gave Hitler the money to run his propaganda and election campaigns.

Present: Palin has the financial support of Koch Industries, big oil, big corporations and the Tea party activists.

4. Propaganda

Nazi propaganda persuaded the German masses to believe that the
Jews were to blame and that Hitler was their last hope.

Present: Palin and the Tea Party have over 100 active groups and use the web, tv, radio and many rallies to communicate their propaganda and recruit new members. They portray Obama as a foreign invader and link him to illegal immigrants and Muslims to feed the hate and claim they are the last hope for America.

5. Programme

Hitler promised everybody something, so they supported him.

Present: Palin has promised lower taxes, more jobs, less government, more freedom and something for everyone.

6. Attacks on other parties

The Stormtroopers attacked Jews and people who opposed Hitler.
Many opponents kept quiet simply because they were
scared of being murdered – and, if they were, the judges
simply let the Stormtroopers go free (see point 2).

Present: Palin has called for the Tea party to reload their weapons and uses military and war references to portray her agenda as a civil war. She creates fear of the Obama plan at rallies and promotes guns and taking back the country. Some Tea Party members have acted violently and made threats to opponents to create fear.

7. Personal Qualities

Hitler was a brilliant speaker, and his eyes had a peculiar power over people. He was a good organizer and politician.
He was a driven, unstable man, who believed that he had
been called by God to become dictator of Germany and rule the world. This kept him going when other people might have given up.
His self-belief persuaded people to believe in him.

Present: Palin is a brilliant speaker that appeals to the working class and men and women that feel powerless. She encourages them to follow blindly without questioning how she and the candidates she supports will accomplish their goals. She calls her followers patriots and mama bears and attacks the status quo and anything considered left or liberal. Palin has said she and her candidates and followers are on God's mission and must not be stopped or fail.

So, is Sarah Palin the next Hitler ?
